Well, I have finished all of my courses for a BA in criminal justice from TESC.
I recieved my paperwork stating that my degree was certified and will be conferred in September. Does this mean that I am a college graduate now or do I actually have to have the degree conferred?
Cheers!

I filed for graduation in June with my only outstanding/in progress course being an "in-house" TESC class- which was going until July 28th (May term). My advisor told me that since I didn't have any outside credits to evaluate, that I should be good to go and there was a high possibility that I would be processed for September. They cashed my check

but since grades didn't appear on my eval until just last week, I wasn't sure that I would make it. Oddly, they "pulled" down my BA academic evaluation off myEdison (my eval is blank). They did that when they processed my AA degree, so maybe that's a good sign. Who knows. I half way hoped to get it in September, but if I get it in December it won't make much difference to me- only that it screws with my spring grad school classes since they are all waiting for my final transcript.

Two quick questions for those who don't mind answering!
1. How long does it usually take to be conferred?
2. I read that once you're 9 credits away from being done, you apply for graduation? I have 36cr left to take. I plan to take 18cr/semester to be done by March (starting Oct.) -- if this actually happens and I get approved to take 18cr at a time (pleeeease) when do I apply for graduation?
