barcotta Wrote:Maybe...but I would recommend you take a shot at it yourself first. If you go to this link you can find pdf copies of a Liberal Arts Catalog and a Student Guide to Credit by Examination. The Liberal Arts Catalog will tell you about the classes you could take through EC or other schools to satisfy the requirements in the various areas, and the Guide to Credit by Exam will tell you which tests you could take.

Does anyone know how to find out which CLEP, Dsst, or other exams may apply to major requirements at EC? I've got the Guide to Credit by Exam doc, and I've got the catalog which lists the requirements for degree programs. From what I can tell, EC only lists it's own courses or exams to fill the reqs. Even the worksheet at the end of the Guide to Credit by Exam book is for general ed reqs. only. Can anyone steer me in the right direction?
Muchas gracias.

If you are pursuing a CJ degree with EC, all you can test out of is Juvenile Del, Ethics, Cultural Diversity and Abnormal Physc,

For Homeland Security Major, you are going to have to take classes, Unless you can Tecep for them or check with Ohio University.

The LA 494 , you can submit a 8+ or longer graded paper to your adviser to waive the class.

Major? Well, there's the problem. Yes, I definitely want to take the major option vs. the Liberal Studies option. I just can't seem to narrow it down to which one. This has been a speed bump for me over the last couple of weeks, not having a plan. Too many interests  So, here is what I'm leaning towards:

English Literature
Communications (oh crap, there are 6 more choices involved) Top 3:
Communication Studies
Journalism
Media Studies
History

Add to this the fact that I have not yet settled on EC vs. TESC (although EC is winning), and I've got a big ol' mess. I guess I'm just trying to lay out my options for these degrees using as many exam credits as possible.Smile
