My diploma arrived in the mail. My wife ran for the door hearing the mailman pound on it, thinking I'd bought yet another book without telling her first.
The diploma binder is pretty nice. Our living room lamp has a yellowish tinge, so I didn't realize the binder was purple until I got into another room with seriously white light.
The diploma itself is OK. I wouldn't go so far as to call it cheesy, but it does look almost like an ad for the institution. They need to soften their logo a bit. Outside of that, though, it certainly looks like the real deal.
I realize most on the college forums don't think much of AS degrees, but I felt it an important stepping stone-- I like to have milestones to feel like I'm making progress-- and it gives me something to look forward to for the next degree.
I'd do the rant about how helpful this board is and all, but I'll save that for when I finish the bachelor's.

Congrats and Good for you! I think it wonderful that you grabbed your AS on your way. I think it is very important to have these guide posts on ones journey. Please don't under play its importance, its already more then alot of people have. I got 2 AA out of the way in the last year myself. Once again great job and good luck in the future.

Congratulations to you!!
I, too, just completed my last class last week for my ASBA and while it's not the 'big one', it's still a college diploma and one we worked hard to earn.
I feel the same way you do - I'll save the big "I did it" post for my BSBA
Enjoy your accomplishment - it's still an important one.

I completed my associates degree with EC last year, and I felt the same way as you about the AS being an important stepping stone. Keep up the good work towards completing your BS degree.
