The idea that kept me motivated while studying the 1998 software engineering materials... was that I was studying the history of computing. But in the specific cases of the concepts of Object Oriented Programming and UML 2, it was all the same, so no change there.

The same as when I was reviewing the Strategic Business Technology cases, there was a lot of content about Netflix and Walmart, so I took it as an opportunity to find out how they viewed Netflix and Walmart, 20 years ago.

I just got the badge:

I was slightly worried because of giving the exam at the time limit, but luckily all was okay.

However, I haven´t received the Saylor certificates for Strategic Business Technology and Software Engineering. I was thinking "It doesn´t matter, as the badge is what it matters". But maybe it won´t appear in the Saylor´s transcript, and to send the credits from Saylor to TESU, I think that I need to send Saylor´s transcript? If that´s the case, I´ll need to ask Saylor to fix it.

OK, against all the forecasts Saylor´s BUS300: Operations Management is done too.

I only took the Certificate Final Exam, without reading any material, but while it allow me to check the topics covered, it was not as useful as before, since Saylor doesn´t allow you to review your answers anymore. There´s an update to the servers in around 9 days, maybe they´ll fix it then.

I recommend you to try the exam, I got a business case, and all the questions were related to the same business case. It was only 30 questions, and the questions gave you enough context to try to guess the answer, even if you didn´t know about the topic.

The structure of the exam was like this:

Big text of the case

Small text of situation 1

Q1 Text about specific problem
.
.
.
Q10 Text about specific problem

Small text of situation 2

Q11 Text about specific problem
.
.
.Q20 Text about specific problem

Small text of situation 3

Q21 Text about specific problem
.
.
.
Q30 Text about specific problem

It took me an entire hour, despite the exam having so few questions.

Something important to note, is that the not-for-credit exam, was totally different, it had the usual 60-62 independent questions. I think it was more difficult, as those questions didn´t give you any context as in the for-credit exam.

Regarding Saylor´s proctor-verified certificates:

"Hello,

We have recently stopped offering Proctor-Verified Course Completion Certificates for Direct Credit Final Exams. After passing a Direct Credit Final Exam with a score of at least 70%, you will be awarded a Credly Badge and can request an official transcript.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,

I've taken 12 courses to date, including College Algebra when it was only NCCRS; hence, it doesn't have a badge:

I forgot to mention, one additional reason why I recommend to try the Operations Management Saylor´s for-credit exam, is that the questions only had 3 options (a), b), c)), instead of 4 possible answers, like in the certificate exam.

Weird, I thought there was a link for Study.com assignments when your account is on pause or inactive... We should have a sticky or something added to a sticky for Study.com if we don't have one already.
