Punchy debates may be acceptable between members who are mutually punchy. Badgering becomes unacceptable at a point.

The amount of disingenuous obfuscation here is hilarious. A true master quest in becoming peak pedantic.

Sure, anyone can call themselves a woman if gender is truly a select social construct.

But society and the people in it don’t all have to go along with the delusion.

This thread really opened a can of worms.

Something that was simple to talk about a decade ago has become a complete mess today.

If you really want to lose your mind, check out this Reddit thread titled 'What is a Woman?'—over 3,000 comments. Lol.

Sure, everyone is entitled to their own opinion—but that doesn't mean every opinion is above criticism.

For example, you can challenge their logic.

Logical Fallacies
  • Circular Reasoning: A woman is a woman. (Identity)

  • False equivalence: Social constructs.

  • Oversimplification: Ignoring biology.

Apparently, this depends on where you live.

Embracing acceptance of everyone is a noble and morally sound way to live, and it’s a principle I strive to embody.

However,
The left needs to come to terms with the fact that not everyone will comply with using preferred pronouns—and passing laws in California that criminalize misgendering, even to the point of putting people prison, is an authoritarian overreach that undermines free speech.

Again, we can all show respect. Doesn't mean we all have to go along with a fever dream. I have lived in the bluest blue parts of this country, and there are still plenty of people who don't go along with this delusion.

Joe Rogan and the "R" word.

https://nypost.com/2025/04/12/media/joe-...victories/

This thread was recently edited due to the use of the "R" word.

I do not and cannot condone the use of any slurs no matter who utters them.

I so disagree with Joe Rogan on this one. It is not good for civilization when slurs are commonly used and accepted as everyday language.

A+ to our moderators for striking that word from this conversation.

I use the word [r-word, spelled out by the poster, removed by moderator] all the time and don't care what anyone thinks. The debate on this is so ridiculous. I grew up with everyone calling each other a [r-word], then all of a sudden it was declared "taboo" by [r-words].

You are demonstrably wrong. Calling names and hurling harsh language never enhances your argument. Perhaps a value enhanced by my years of DEI training. "Find the good and praise it."

At a Starbucks, my flight instructor was giving me advice on when put a taildragger into idle to practice forward slips at a short grass airfield (tall trees near the one end of the runway) when the lady behind us heard the r word and cussed us out. It was good advice as later that day, I mentally challenged the throttles over the trees and slipped to lose altitude for multiple smooth landings.
