You must get above the 80th percentile on the version of the test you take to get all 30 credits. It varies from test to test, even within the same subject, but I posted a guideline somewhere on this forum for the GRE Psychology one...lemme find it... You basically need to score above 80% of all people taking the test, not an easy feat. For every 5% below 80%, subtract 3 credits until you hit 35%.
Here's my example, but every test varies, so plan accordingly: Raw score -scaled score-percentile-credits at Excelsior 100-102 530 36% 3LL 103-106 540 39% 3LL 107-110 550 43% 6LL 111-113 560 47% 9LL 114-117 570 50% 12LL 118-120 580 54% 12LL 121-124 590 58% 12LL+3UL 125-127 600 62% 12LL+6UL 128-131 610 65% 12LL+9UL 132-135 620 68% 12LL+9UL 136-138 630 72% 12LL+12UL 139-142 640 75% 12LL+15UL 143-145 650 78% 12LL+15UL 146-149 660 81% 12LL+18UL

Beat me to it, Alissa.
You need to finish in the 80 percentile or above on the exam to get the 30 credits. The cutoff score will vary depending on the exam.

Anyway, here's some variation in the scores, these are different scores you will need, according to the practice tests on the ets website,to get above the 80th percentile, so you can get an idea of how much it varies:
Chemistry - 830 - 81% Math -770 -81% Biochem+molecular biology- 610-80% Literature- 630 -81% Comp. Sci. -810 -82% Biology 770 -82%
