I've taken the natural gas one and used it as evidence toward my PLA with TESU. I learned a decent amount of information and it helped fill in some holes when I was working on my portfolio.

Yes, most freebies would be an option for PLA towards credit, not just the two from COSC Introduction to Manufacturing, Introduction to Natural Gas but other providers as well. Hopefully there are other PLA options available with more MOOC's... main thing is to find a subject that you enjoy and have interest in, get certs/experience in that field, then work on the PLA to document that learning towards the cert/experience.
