Free course in teaching English online
#1
Right now, this course is free. I don't know how long that will last. If this place is like other TEFL/TESOL places, it will go on and off sale periodically, so check back again in a few weeks if it's not free when you look.

Great find for those who are looking for an entry or beginning into the field of teaching, this is only a 30 hour introduction. Most places will require the full 120+ hours and many more will require a 180 hours certification. None the less, this is again, a good starting point to get you familiar with the industry and get a hand on the ropes...

It states that it is mainly for those with a 120 hour or more certificate so that they can get acclimated to teaching online. It isn't a replacement, but a complement to the full program.

The site appears to be a good place to get a TEFL certificate if one should decide to take that path. It appears to be accredited, as many TEFL/TESOL options are not and it's pretty cheap when on sale. ASU also has one on Coursera, that one could be even cheaper depending on how fast you work through the content.

It is a supplement, but it also acts as a good intro to the whole concept.
