Free (and cheap) Economics credit!!
#1
I searched on here but I didn't see anything about The Henry George Institute. They offer a free economics course online. The course is called Understanding Economics and it is NCCRS credit recommended. The course is part of a 3 course track(called Principles of Political Economy) and the other 2 aren't free but this introductory course is.

Here is their explanation of the fee schedule:
The first of our three courses, Understanding Economics, is free. Parts two and three, Applied Economics and Economic Science) each have a basic enrollment fee of $25. If you choose the tuition option, the fee is $250 for all three courses -- not for each course. The tuition fee may be paid at any time, but must be paid in order to take our proctored final exam and receive an official transcript. If you pay the $250 tuition fee upon completing Understanding Economics, we will waive the $25 enrollment fees for the second and third courses: a saving of $50 for the series. (Note: the tuition fee is not required in order to receive completion certificates for each course.)
Optional books and study materials are priced as shown for each course.

*The course site: What is Economics?

*The NCCRS listing: Henry George Institute: College Credit Recommendations: National CCRS

I figure it might be useful to someone on here.

You have to take all 3 courses in order to receive credit. If you want credit, you will have to pay $250 regardless. I guess that will help someone who doesn't or can't take a Straighterline course for $148 or can't test out for $100.
