Berkeley City College Community Health Worker certificate
The Community Health Worker certificate is free and non-credit. It's from Berkeley City College in California but they definitely let out of state folks join. I had originally enrolled in the course last fall but I had to drop it. I just enrolled in it again today since I am not sure what I am doing after my December graduation from Pierpont. This certificate will look good on my resume.
The course is on Zoom.

Thank you! I just signed up too. Wish I was local, I'd take the other Free certificate, but the second class meets in person 3 Saturdays.

I wanted to take the other free certificate as well. I had originally found out about these certificates last summer when I was in the Bay Area but now I'm on the other coast.

Hmm, I signed up for this one as well, when going through the sign up, it listed like 5 other options... anyone know if those are 'freebies' that are entirely online as well? I should have taken a screenshot but forgot... oh well...

What am I missing? Where is the non-credit enrollment application? I'm going to https://web.peralta.edu/workforcedevelop...nd-enroll/
I see the first option is to apply online but there is no link to click or application on this page. I'm guessing they changed the application for this course since now explicitely asks for your student id number.
IIRC, California community colleges have weird rules about people outside the state enrolling. I know if you try and aoply on the state community college website, it will not let you. Maybe that applies to non-credit classes as well.

Ah yes, the sign up screen, you're on the info page... I viewed their signup page and clicked the link.
You need to sign up thoroughly, so all your 'info' are belong to 'them', they'll email your ID right after.

Thank you! That worked. I submitted the non-credit application and got a confirmation email. How long did it take you to get the email with your student id number? It has been several hours and nothing yet.
Edit: Nevermind. I got the email with my student ID and filled out the form to register.

I finished the class last week and it was so interesting. I learned a lot. Even though it was noncredit, it seemed just like a regular class.
I can't wait to get my certificate.
FYI, my teacher said that next semester will be the last one in which this certificate will be available in this way. After that, there will be prerequisites before one can sign up for the class. If you're interested in this certificate, do it next semester!
