Flash card sections all at once?
#1
Is it better to study the questions all at once, or do one section then take a break? it sometimes seems like SO many questions in a row. Im studying for principles of Marketing. Should i go through every question or just do one section and take break. then proceed to next

also: anyone ever just do one section over and over till you get a 100& then move on to next section of that subject?

any advice be great!

Hi cliffriff, and welcome to IC! I've been experimenting with a couple of different methods with the flashcards and here's what I've found works best for me.

I take them section by section, as you suggest above, until I have them down. Doesn't have to be 100%, but shouldn't be missing more than a few. Then I move on to the next. I repeat this until I've gone through all of the flash cards. It's also helpful to review the sections I've mastered at the beginning and end of my study session.
It seems like a lot, but you'll be surprised at how much your brain will recall.

Another thing that works really well for me is taking notes as I go through the flashcards for the first time. It takes more time, but I like to draw a broad outline (visual learner). Then I can look to my notes to answer questions later on, and use the notes as a quick review before the exam. I first did this for the Marketing CLEP, and it worked like a charm Smile

Hope this helps, and best of luck!
