Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to brag a little, I finished my last course (Ethical Hacking) last night.  All I have remaining is the administrative paperwork to get my Master of Science in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from WGU.  Now I can focus on finishing the BSBA from TESU.

How was your experience with the WGU cybersecurity masters? I'm thinking of going for that one myself down the road.

I really enjoyed it, it was a well-designed program.  The CISSP study guide is the spine book used through the entire program as each class relates to a domain within the CISSP BOK. Definitely a lot more writing in this program than there was at the BS level, but that's to be expected as I fully anticipate going into the doctorate level will likely mean writing reams worth of papers.

I took 16 months instead of 6, but that's my fault because I'm frequently doing several programs at the same time instead of focusing on just one.

PenTest+: this is currently on beta through June 22, so it only costs $50
CHFI: although WGU no longer requires passing this exam, you get a free voucher to take it. My voucher expires 8/21/2021

Nice, good luck! I'm taking the Pentest+ beta as well. Currently doing a separate class that covers some pentesting hands on so hopefully that plus some pentest+ specific review will be enough to pass.

The last time I took the beta (before I even started studying security), there were a lot of questions regarding tools and the switches you use in different situations.  For example, make you are really familiar with all the options available with nmap.
