Finally done! TESC BSBA
#1
I paid my $2000 residency waiver and sent the last of my transcripts, so I should be OK to graduate come time for my next audit on the 15th. I can't believe I'm finally done. It's been a long road, but I knew the only way to get ahead in life is to develop my credentials, otherwise I'd forever be stuck in deadend job after deadend job. I aspire for a great career that I can be proud of! I have 2 kids and a fulltime job yet, against all odds, I've decided to enroll into Patten's MBA program. I have paid for the entire term and I hope to get it done within 1term. It's probably going to be tough, but I should be in good shape as long as I try hard and focus on what I need to do.

Anyone here finish that program?

Congrats on getting everything in! I hope I'll join the ranks by June or Sept. Smile
As for Patten and an MBA, just know what you're trying to get an MBA for, as it doesn't have ACBSP or AACSB accreditation, which may or may not be important.

I want it so that I can qualify for jobs that require a masters degree. Is it accredited in that regard?

Congrats and good luck at Patten. Programmatic accreditation like ACBSP or AACSB is usually not very important or familiar to employers, it's more important in the academic world. It's not the same as the school being accredited and legit, which isn't a problem with Patten (they're regionally accredited).

Don't waste time by trying to save time. The only sure way to complete your degree is to knock out credits quickly and efficiently.

Don't let easiness bite you in the rear. Know your endgame (where you want to be) and plan backward from there. Your education is a means to an end.

Be honest professionally, socially and academically. There are people (especially little ones) who look up to you and they're going by your example.

Be proud. Whether you're an Engineer or Fast Food worker, there is honor and dignity in hard work.

Picking on people weaker than you only proves that you are a weak person.
