Fast BACS pre-plan degree or guidance help
#1
I've read a lot of the forum and wiki, found some decent but old paths/maps, and learned a bunch. I am looking for either a relatively new pre-planned BACS or BSCS path that is fast, doesn't have to be cheap; or guidance in preparing my own path (don't know how to tell if a class is accepted or not).

I have an extensive computer science working background (20 years) so programming, databases, CS fundamentals are not a problem. I have been working in cybersecurity for 14 years and have in-depth technical knowledge at the lowest levels of technology.

Any help would be fantastic!

WGU will probably be your best bet. You can take the first 90cr in either the CS or Cybersecurity degrees by alternative credit (ACE) and then the remaining courses there, probably in a single term.

You can get a good feel for what will transfer into WGU by using their transfer guidelines:

https://partners.wgu.edu/transferguidelines

I was able to use them to transfer in 67 CUs, then finish the Cybersecurity degree in less than 4 months after enrolling. My background is similar to yours.

The TESU BACS can now be done entirely through alternative credit thanks to a bunch of courses that Study.com added last year. Since nobody came forward, I did my best to update my old TESU BACS sheet for the new Study.com courses.

I made no attempt to pick GenEd courses. I'm sure there are better choices than the ones in this sheet, but you can crib that off of a number of degree plans out there.

The Cybersecurity electives will not work, see https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...#pid292800 and https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...#pid293015

OK, Here's a revised version with the DAVAR MIS course as the last UL course, then. Also fixed some of the numbers (tuition and credit counts)

Thanks, Dave! Hubby is lined up for the BACS and already enrolled but is still focused on AWS certified developer, first! This will help get him going when he knocks that out! You are always so helpful, thank you!

It seems to still show one UL Cybersecurity course.

The problem with WGU is you have to take time to do all of the certs. If you do TESU, just look at my signature, but they don't take cyber security courses anymore.

So it did. I fixed that and a couple of other mistakes. Right now I had to leave a hole for one UL CS elective. I'm hoping someone will chime in with the last piece of the puzzle that's eluding me.

You could take Lin Alg at APU, but that wouldn't be my first choice. You could also plug in a TESU course like  Artificial Intelligence.
