14 Day count down to FALL 2... HUM 103 and BUS 200 (plus Orientation) are the first classes... I better work on quiting the triple periods before I have to start writing formal paper again. Does anyone have templates for ADA style papers that seem to help them maintain structure while clearly meeting the rubric?

For APA, check out Purdue Owl. Some professors are more picky about APA than others. Definitely follow the instructions and the rubric for Final Assessments.

I used this template for all of my papers. Other resources on this page are a bonus. https://library.olivet.edu/help/citation/apa/index.php
Hello everyone - I’m starting Monday for the Fall session 2, for a History and Political Science degree. Just like many of us, I’ve wanted to complete my degree for years and there’s been numerous reasons why that wasn’t feasible. I am so happy to be completing it now. I have scoured these boards over the last few months as I’ve prepared through Sophia and Study.com and am grateful to those that have contributed so much good information. I have 36 credits to complete my degree. I am hoping to do those 12 courses in two terms. Jessica graciously allowed me to pursue a minor in sociology since I have everything but one YourPace class for that. I started out years ago hoping to major in Sociology so am so happy to pursue that minor. If my employer agrees to pay for a business minor (they only pay for job-related classes) then I will do an additional term or two and pursue that as well. Again, I appreciate all the good information in this forum and am so happy to start my courses (English 102 and World Civ 1) on Monday.

I had to take the 2nd summer term off for some family matters but caught up with some extra courses this term so that I can stay on track for my graduation goal.
I just sent in my final for my last class of the term, Medieval Europe. If you don't mind a lot of material to read or watch, and some creative writing, this class is a lot of fun. The professor gives well-thought-out, personalized feedback, usually within only a few hours of submitting your milestone. There were 5 milestones of at least 500 words, writing as if you were observing different aspects of medieval life. The final project is 1500 words writing in the first person as if you are a person living in that time. It might be a bit of a slower class for some people, but I took my time on it and finished faster classes in the meantime.

Ooo, that sounds interesting. Might have to try it out for myself now lol How would you say your experience with UMPI has been so far?

It was a bit rocky at first. I was originally taking the Journalism and Communications program, but I struggled with the professor at the head of the program not allowing the class to go at a faster speed. The introduction to journalism class was impossible to finish in 8 weeks because she wouldn't let you submit another milestone before she approved of the last, but would have you do multiple rewrites of each, and all of the milestones were multiple articles. She wanted them to be publishing ready, which I understand but it would also take her almost a week to reply to your milestone submissions. I know someone else on the forum switched majors at the same time I did because of this. I hope they get things smoothed out. I would love to see more humanities-based degree programs online. I'm doing a business administration, and management concentration degree now. I have absolutely no background in business (I do theatre performance, for the record) and I'm having a decent go at it. I started with very few credits to transfer in, and have been doing some Sophia classes as I take UMPI ones, so my pace is slower than you'll see others doing on here. I'm set to be done with the 2nd Spring term and started during the 2nd term last summer.

I have decided instead of making a Fall 2, to keep these threads seasonal! Good luck to everyone on the new term!
Also I heard they got added early, so you can get a head start this weekend! Dr. Ashkir DHA, MBA, MAOL, PMP, GARA
