Should I just take the next two weeks off or go for another course?
Rough drafts are all due on the 15th so Friday. Maybe try one with an exam.
Aww man, I just checked and I have 4 courses left to complete my degree for the next session and 2 are exams and the other 2 are paper. I was really hoping to fit in BUS245 or 345 but those are both projects.
Bus 345 Database is only offered in the 1st term so if you don't complete it now, you may be doing 2 more terms.
Bus 245 Programming for Managers is only offered in the 2nd term.
These things can change over time, that's just what my chart shows so you may want to double-check.
Degrees: BA Computer Science, BS Business Administration with a concentration in CIS, AS Natural Science & Math, TESU. 4.0 GPA 2022.
Course Experience: CLEP, Instantcert, Sophia.org, Study.com, Straighterline.com, Onlinedegree.org, Saylor.org, Csmlearn.com, and TEL Learning.
Certifications: W3Schools PHP, Google IT Support, Google Digital Marketing, Google Project Management

I'm hoping to include 345 and 245 as an MIS minor.
If BUS 345 is only offered on the first term, if I don't take it now that means I'll have to let go of the idea of having a minor.
How long was the course? I've been averaging a week on a course and did computer graphics for over 10 years if that matters. Do you think it's doable to have the draft turned in within the first week? I would hate to commit to something just to fail.

carebear_007, I am not taking BUS 345, but I think it is safe to assume that Database course will deal with... well, databases. I would imagine it requires working with VBA, SQL, etc. I am not sure if computer graphics experience is going to help.
TMcClary, Yay. Enjoy well-deserved break!

Yeah...learning graphics software is the closest thing that I thought I might be able to compare it to. I'm going to be finished with my last course today. So I guess I'll just use the next two weeks to take a break.

I worked at a government contractor business for years. All managers are required to learn database SQL here. SQL is great. I highly recommend learning SQL if you or anyone plans on a business pathway

I don't know anyone who has taken the course and imagine each person would be different in how long it would take to learn it.
I took the Database course at Study.com, and it was pretty easy. You can take the assignment for free if you want up to prompt 9.
https://study.com/academy/lesson/databas...ystem.html
Install software here:

Get yourself an SQL cheat sheet for all the basic SQL commands. You don't need to memorize commands. Just know the basics of what they do. The software also will help you write SQL commands.
Maybe take someone 4-10hrs to work through that assignment as a beginner.

Thank you so much for this! I'll see how quickly I can pick up on this and then hopefully I'll be able to get the course in my dashboard by Monday afternoon.

I took BUS345. Don't waste your time on any of this for the class. You won't use it. You create a database in Access and write an Executive Summary for the Final Assessment unless it's changed.

Monday is a holiday and the university is on fall break so it may not be until Tuesday. Just a heads up so you don't panic if your advisor doesn't respond on Monday.

Getting 2 days break might not be such a bad thing for me. I just finished Fundamentals of Finance and my head is spinning. I put in between 6-7 hours daily because that course was probably the longest one out of all the courses I've taken. I deserve that glass of wine. LOL But I got a 92% on the exam! Yay! 7 courses completed so far. I'd only need 4 more for next Fall 2 if I leave everything as is. But I feel like I've got a momentum going and if I don't do anything for the next two weeks, it might end up making me feel more complacent.
So....I just sent an email to officially add MIS as a minor. Maybe I'll familiarize myself with Access while I wait. I'll skim through the SDC links to maybe learn some database lingo.
