Shouldn't this be a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science? What is the difference and how will this effect the meaningfulness ofthe degree?

TESC names all of their liberal arts programs Bachelor of Arts. For some reason, TESC considers computer science to be a natural science. Maybe it's because it includes a lot of math. Math and the natural sciences are liberal arts believe it or not. I don't think it would have that much of an effect on the utility of the degree. However, from what I've seen when schools have a BA and BS program for the same subject, the BS programs usually have more and higher math and science requirements. They also require more credits to be taken within the major. There are other schools that only offer BAs for their science majors.

The undergraduate degree in computer science is also a B.A. (or in their preferred style, an "A.B.,") at Harvard. I don't think this holds their graduates back!

Good to know. Thank you for the responses!

Check this out at FSU. Their BA CS is not ABET accredited. It still wouldn't bother me though.
