You have already passed a number of CLEP/DSST in a short time you shouldn't let one bad ECE bug you. I have never taken an ECE, but I have taken CLEP,DSST & TECEP exams. I found the TECEP's to be about the same difficulty. I did use the recommended text for the first exam it was a help. I know they don't offer practice exams , but they do give advice on what will be covered and specific text. I don't think you need the most up to date text so you might be able to buy it used. Good luck and keep on plugging along almost there.
