AllBusinessJoe Wrote:The DSST tests do not give actual grades. You only get a pass or fail mark. If you get a perfect score or you just squeak by you still get the pass mark.
And even if DSST did start giving out grades, the colleges that accept DSST test scores will only give you a pass or fail anyhow.
While it is ultimately up to the receiving college to grant letter grades (Excelsior) or just pass/fail (as is the case with TESC, I believe), the previous DSST exam format did have cut score recommendations for letter grading and Excelsior used those recommendations. It was the case with most of the CLEP exams in the past, but the grading recommendation for those exams started disappearing one by one as the content kept changing (Collegeboard claiming lack of enough statistical data to give out such recommendations).
My transcript has letter grades for both types of exams. I have letter grades for 3 CLEP and 6 DSST exams, including Ethics in America, MIS and Statistics. I'm really glad I got to do those before the format change.

So did every who needed it, eventually find the information on the DSST website? If not, follow the directions of the poster above me.
Well, only 10 tests have changed. The others remain the same. Nonetheless, CPSC is eventually going to stop giving grades for DSST exams. As of now, they still do.
