Students who need a score this year are using the CLT because it has always been offered online and colleges have a chart that can tell what the corresponding score would be on ACT and SAT.
Hopefully this will be offered on in to the future.
As a homeschooling parent it can be difficult finding a school willing to let a homeschool student on their campus for testing.

The SAT and ACT are not offered during school hours, and schools have to let anyone that signs up take the exams.  They don't check to make sure you go to their school.  I've taken them, my kid has taken them, and never at our own campuses.  It's an open exam for everyone (including adults who want to take it).

The only exams this may be an issue with are the AP exams, because those ARE offered during school hours, and schools don't have to let non-students on campus for them.
