cpstudent Wrote:So, if I went and took 6 FEMA courses (assuming they were all accepted by TESC), I could wait, say, 6 months to get them transcripted into actual credits?
Basically, like I'm doing with my CLEP credits. Taking most of the tests before I enroll with TESC.
Is that possible?
Thanks!
If you plan on enrolling in TESC I would saying waiting for for six months is the best and cheaper way, then you can just send in everything when applying. When you are ready just submit the Transcript form to FEMA and they will send send your scores to TESC!!!!

There was one FEMA test that I submitted and didn't get an email back. I still have my answers circled on my hard-copy of the final exam. Worst case scenario, I figure I may have to submit that one again.
If you have received other certificates, I would doubt that your email is firewalling it or sweeping it to junk-senders or spam-senders lists. If not... that may be something to think about.

Great! Thanks for the info.
One more question. (maybe
) For the free electives I can choose ANY of the courses that you listed above? In my degree plan I have US History I & II, Western Civ I&II and College Mathematics in my free electives. None of which I have taken yet. I could use the FEMA courses to complete those?
Thanks!
Completed:
6 - Analyz. and Interp. Literature (56)
3 - Principles of Management (63)
3 - Principles of Marketing (55)
3 - Information Systems and Computer Applications (50)

I have a degree plan with TESC but I am not enrolled yet. I probably won't be for a long while yet.
This just seems to good to be true. I have 18 credits of free electives to get and I can get them through these FEMA courses? It doesn't seem believable.
I have actually taken 2 of them already. They both took about 1 1/2 hours total. I think I'll keep going!
Thanks for all the help!

Yeah, I've come to find that they're not all that difficult.
At least the ones I've done so far haven't been. What a great way to knock out some electives.
