COSC vs TESU for Associates degree

Hi rowan555,

When you mention "most schools don't accept nationally acredited degrees" what does that mean? I ask since I need a GPA like the OP as I am looking at grad school after TESU and don't want to fowl anything up.

Penn Foster is Nationally Accredited (TESU and COSC are Regionally Accredited)

In addition, Straighterline courses are graded at COSC.

COSC also requires a lab science that TESU does not.

We are teetering between them too, but what will eventually push us to one vs the other, is where/what my son wants to get his bachelor's.

Does COSC still award letter grades for SL? I thought that ended a while ago, but I also know nothing about COSC.

Nationally Accredited is not as highly regarded as Regionally Accredited. All of your state schools, Ivies, community colleges - are RA. Stick with RA if you want to go to grad school.

Wow, I didn't know it was that expensive for Assoc at COSC (and more for TESU). Nearly the same as Bachelors I guess, with the main difference being the capstone.

It definitely isn't as much as for a bachelor's, but it's not cheap either.

Probably about the same cost as getting an AA at a CC (depending on your state). But it will certainly take less time.
