Hey,
I recently got approval from my school for the two DSST exams: Modern Europe 1945 to present and Rise and fall of the Soviet Union.
Can you guys tell me how difficult these exams are in comparison to the Western Civ CLEP and in general? Are these two tests regarded as being really hard? What books would be good for them
I need to know this ASAP, please help!

Also the factsheets talk about what books the DSST's are based on
Rise & Fall of the Soviet Union
Western Europe
And the search function for the board will unearth a lot of gems of information.
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Wile E. Coyote, genius. I am not selling anything nor am I working my way through college, so let's get down to basics: you are a rabbit and I am going to eat you for supper. Now don't try to get away, I am more muscular, more cunning, faster and larger than you are, and I am a genius, while you could hardly pass the entrance examinations to kindergarten, so I'll give you the customary two minutes to say your prayers.
Bachelor of Science in PsychoRabbitology degree
Master of Education with a specialty in Rabbit-specific destructive munitions (or eLearning & Technology, I forget which)
Doctor of Philosophy in Wile E. Leadership with an area of specialty in Acme Mind Expansion - 2017 Hopefully

I haven't done any research into the Modern Europe test yet (though I will need to, since my son plans to take it!) but I do have
SEVERAL LINKS HERE for free resources to study for the Soviet Union exam, including reading materials and online flashcards.
Just FYI - The one (high-school-age) student I know who has taken the Soviet Union test told me it was one of the "harder" college-level exams she has taken, but she thought that might be because her world history studies didn't spend much time on it, and so she didn't have much background to draw on.
