Has anyone taken or is preparing to take this exam? I am looking for information on what books I need if any and how others are preparing for this exam. Thanks all.

I took the College Writing ECE. The included MyAccess! writing tool was a great help. I don't know if it's included with the other ECE english test.

Thanks for the reply. How was the test? Did you also use a textbook or just the included software?

I only used the software. I consider myself a novice writer at best, but I was able to score an A. I used the software to practice writing for a few weeks. One of the first things any writing instructor will tell you is to âknow your audienceâ. In this case your audience is a computer program, the very same program that grades the online practice essays. You canât beat the instant feedback you get in both the practice and real exam.

Yep, itâs graded instantly. Iâd be interested in learning more about the way theyâre able to do that actually. I guess the technology is called âInteliMetricâ and is the same in the practice software as the real test.

So you used the My Access tool and the essays were graded instantly by that same system? Hmm, interesting... that should prove very helpful.
