I got approval for a study.com course from an excelsior advisor via email. After enrolling in the course and spending time and money on it, I found out it's not ACE accredited. Will it be possible to transfer the course to Excelsior?

What course are you talking about? If you haven't completed it yet then wait you can take their courses all the way up to the final wait for it to be approved then take the final. If you took the final then I believe it is too late unless they back date the approval.

Message Study.com and see where they are in the approval process. I would wait until it is ACE approved. Let them know what happened and they might be nice enough to give you a free exam when it becomes approved.

With Study.com, they have ACE-approved and non-ACE-approved courses available. You need to make sure that you take ACE-approved courses to transfer them to any of the Big 3. All ACE-approved courses have a little Green badge on them - when you hover over it, it says "This course is ACE recommended for credit." Also, all ACE-approved courses will have a proctored final.
You may be able to recoup a little of your time by going in and taking BUS 308: Globalization and International Management, which is ACE-approved.. You may find that there is a lot of overlap with the first course you took. Go add it in, and see if you don't already have it partially completed by the fact that you took the first course (and any other business courses you may have taken).

308 is a decent idea but it comes with a heafty case study load as you need to write 4 case studies and that is no light task. Also could be the difference between a LL and UL course. Not a bad idea but a lot more work then 120 I am guessing.

I have finished the quizzes for the BUS 308 course so I just checked the BUS 120 course and I am 56% through it. Obviously I can't see how much progress there would be the other way around but there is clearly a decent amount of overlap, so all may not be lost. The part that sucks is the BUS 308 has multiple papers to do to get credit. :puke:
