I saw this article about the 12 year old graduate. https://www.news10.com/news/local-news/1...1300957688
Its a great achievement, but are we pushing kids too much? is this good for kids, or the schools image?

I saw that too and didn't even notice it was excelsior. It says she still maintains a healthy childhood lifestyle, socializing with friends and playing regularly. Definitely shouldn't push kids to achieve unreasonable expectations but I think there are genuinely a handful of very gifted individuals who want to move fast through their education like that.

Its not like they have 37 12-yo's graduating each year. There was ONE.
There will always be young students graduating from college here and there. Harvard graduated a 14yo in 2013, Cornell admitted a 12yo in 2016, an 11-yo CC student with 3 AA's graduated from UC Davis in 2018. None of these schools seem like a joke to me, but when Excelsior has one, all of a sudden the school is the problem?

Giving opportunity is what Excelsior College is about! Maybe they are just joining the elites!
At 12 I could not do it myself.
Oxford University had 12-year old Ruth Lawrence earn a math degree.
