Example of someone with a TESC degree going farther
#11
I know this post was specific to TESC graduates but I'm pretty proud to say that my dad got his degree from Excelsior in the 80s while he was in the Army. He retired from the army after 30 years of service and then went on to earn an MPA from Troy University, then an MBA from Ashford, a PMP from Aspen and is about to complete his PhD. He was fortunate enough to successfully transition to the civilian world and has basically started a new professional life from his educational pursuits and career in the military. He was the first person in my family to go to college and he will turn 60 in October Smile. I'm proud to say he has been my encouragement to continue my education and my biggest supporter.

I CLEPped out of 27 credits and got 12 more for an IT certification, so nearly 1/3 of my Bachelor's degree, and it's never hurt me get accepted anywhere. Charter Oak has a page where they list graduate acceptances, it's out of date, though, there are more they could put on. I expect TESC has something similar or could provide such a list if asked; they're pretty common in higher ed.
BS, Information Systems concentration, Charter Oak State College
MA in Educational Technology Leadership, George Washington University
18 doctoral level semester-hours in Business Administration, Baker College
In progress: EdD in Educational Leadership, Manhattanville College
