Does TESC require the exam portion of the Ethics in America DSST? Also, my counselor told me that I would have to take the Ethics in America DSST instead of SL Business Ethics. She said that they wont accept the Sl course. Is this true? Thanks!

SL business ethics is the equivalent of "Ethics and the Business Professional" PHI-384. Which is listed on the TESC gen. ed. list of ethics courses.

I know that it shows to pass for my ethics requirement, but my counselor Mrs. Wynn said that some of the people at TESC will accept it and some wont. Has anyone recently had SL business ethics accepted as the Ethic requirement?

That doesn't make sense, "some will accept it some won't" the registrar has the final word on credit equivalencies.
Is Mrs. Wynn an academic adviser or someone in the registrars office? Whenever I am unsure of a course equivalency I always get approval from the registrar.

Who is the Registrar? Can I call him/her directly? I called and made an academic appointment with TESC after I enrolled. She was the counselor I got. She said that they(whoever "they" are) having difficulties with the staff being willing to give credit for anything but the DSST test or taking a course with them. Has anyone else heard this? I have been studying the DSST test and I really would much rather take this SL course. I just need to know 100% for sure if they will accept it.

You may contact the Registrar @ Office of the Registrar, Sharon Smith, Registrar, (609) 633-9242 - course registration, (609) 984-1180 - transcripts, graduation information.
Where is Sanantone? I think Sanatone, the Resident TESC Expert, would be able to shed more light on this.

If you want correct information is usually best to email TESC, for some reason the people who work the computers are better informed then those who answer phones. And an email history is nice so you have proof that someone confirmed the equivalency in question.
I just email registrar@tesc.edu with any questions I have. I've never even spoken to an adviser.

I agree with this. When you send an email with the title of your degree in the subject line, your email will be sent to the proper school. If there are differences between how the school of business, the school of arts and sciences, and the other schools classify a course, then the only answer you need is from the school in which your program is housed. The registrar might be able to code a course as one thing, but it is still up to the school when it comes to deciding if that course will satisfy a requirement. It's kind of like how they decided that one cannot use the DSSTs for Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement as if they are duplicates even though they are coded as two different courses.
The phone people are still absolutely terrible based on a recent experience of mine. Actually, I think I'll start a thread advising people to always double check through email.

Okay so, I talked with a lady at the Registrar's office. She added in the Business Ethics SL course into my degree plan!!!! No more guessing! Now nobody can tell me no. I am so happy. I might be able to get all my courses done by the Jan 1 graduation deadline. Thanks for all your help.
