Ethics in America-DSST
#11
plaidwandering Wrote:I am working on prepping for this on Saturday myself.

However, I got a bit of concern on taking the prometric practice test and scoring a 58. There were several things I hadn't seen in the IC cards. I studied what I missed(though one or two of their answers seems a bit sketchy when I looked it up)

I got a 76 on a peterson's the next day, and an 89 on my second peterson's today, so hopefully things are shaping up. Just a bit worried since the prometric one is by the company that gives it.

You'll be fine.

Don't waste time by trying to save time. The only sure way to complete your degree is to knock out credits quickly and efficiently.

Don't let easiness bite you in the rear. Know your endgame (where you want to be) and plan backward from there. Your education is a means to an end.

Be honest professionally, socially and academically. There are people (especially little ones) who look up to you and they're going by your example.

Be proud. Whether you're an Engineer or Fast Food worker, there is honor and dignity in hard work.

Picking on people weaker than you only proves that you are a weak person.

hope so - final peterson's dropped back to 77, much more tricksy wording in this one over the second

Did you just use instantcert and Peterson or did you also study from a book. I have about a week to get this done and I got a 40% on prometric and an 80% on Petersons Undecided

40% on Prometric is low. You will need 46-50% on the actual DSST. I would cram a bit more if you can.

I passed with a 463. That prometric is a joke, NOTHING from the notes I made was on the exam. I should not have let it upset me or wasted my $5. I shared my scores in the private forum but I had an 80% on peterson's pretest, 64% on the post test. Peterson's online I had 77%, 65%, and 71%. Also, I did the CLEP practice PDF and got a 65%.

You could check out the subject thread under the specific exam feedback section. Note you must be an instantcert subscriber to gain access.

I only need 3 Humanities credits. Should I take the Humanities CLEP or the Ethics DSST?

Humanities CLEP is 6 credits and some think it is harder because the wide spread of info covered. Definitely check out http://www.degreeforum.net/specific-exam...bers-only/ it will give you a better idea of what to expect.
