Ethics course - The Institutes
#1
I took this ethics course from the Institutes and transferred it to TESU last year. It was evaluated and satisfied the Ethics requirement in my degree plan. Now its missing. Anyone know what could have happened here?

It's completely missing from your TESU degree evaluation now? Have you transferred in any classes on an Acclaim transcript recently?

If failing to maintain same catalog year maybe courses approved then change now? Since it is not transferable anymore. Still it seems odd, but it might be the catalog year changed.

I'd just call and ask: hopefully you have a copy of the old eval. You shouldn't need the Acclaim badges if you already had the course on your eval.

Early in the degree evaluation process for my sons, they had a course that was removed. I asked why, and the response was. "Better to find it out now than later when the do your final degree evaluation for your graduation." I did not appreciate that response at the time, but he did approve a different course that we had taken that did not transfer properly after I sent a picture of the description of the course from the college catalogue.

Anyway, it sounded to me like they can change courses in your degree plan, and that what one advisor approves another advisor may not? I think there is a check and balances in place, but it may take a while to get some courses settled upon.

Also, is the course listed on your degree plan at all now? If so where did they place it?

Did you register and lock in for a degree? Otherwise, as I understand, things the accept can change. Mine is still there... just double checked. I did it before the badge stuff.

With TEEX, they're still straightening out how things will get added to Acclaim. You can do what others have done and try to send the TEEX transcript to TESU directly at a cost of $10. That still might not work, though.

The easiest thing to do might just be to take Ethics with Sophia. You can have that completed and transferred to TESU within a few days. If you don't already have a Sophia plan, it would cost you $79 but that's still cheaper than SDC or other ethics options.
