I am a new user (in high school) and have been greatly enjoying InstantCert very much.
But I come across a problem: As I go through the College Mathematics flashcard set I have noticed many errors in mathematical symbols in both answers and questions. This would be a great stumbling block for people who have not done math for a while. Their minds would be programmed to the incorrect symbols, such as, à and à (first one means radical, second one means "subset of"), and they would not recognize the real mathematical symbols. So⦠can anything be done about this?
Secondly, there is a completely misleading "Detailed Explanation" of College Mathematics>Functions and their Graphs 2>Question 26. It is as follows:
"4. The degree is the highest power of any coefficient in the expression."
It should not be "coefficient." I am quite sure that the right word is "variable."
I don't know what is entailed, but I would be glad to help reword some of the sentence structure in the CM flashcard set. It seems somewhat sloppy to me, so I would be glad to help clean it up a bit. I don't mean to step on anyone's toes--just wondering.
Again, thank you for this excellent resource!!
