In order to avoid TOEFL exam for EC im looking 9 RA university credits. I just read this point in detail and what EC say is:
Quote:COMPLETION OF AT LEAST 9 CREDIT HOURS OF ACADEMIC WORK
In courses delivered in English at an institution of higher education in the United States.
In fact I assumed this was referring to RA credits, but i think this definition is broader.
Does anyone know what credits will fill for this request (RA for sure)??

Their own website doesn't specifically mention this, you're right: https://www.excelsior.edu/admissions/international/
Can you send them a message to clarify? Maybe someone else on this forum would know, but doesn't hurt to ask EC directly.
Is taking the UExcel College Writing exam not a good option for you? It seems cheaper than TOEFL, IELTS, or getting those 9 credits from scratch: https://www.excelsior.edu/exam/college-writing/

I can't remember, have you already tried getting them to accept a Duolingo test?

I didn't realize that ENGx110 exam was as cheap at EC, i was expecting the usual 400usd per credit fee.
Sadly it is still a problem, because, as i understand it; EC dont use proctored service but pearson system and in my country it is difficult to take an exam in this way.

I never ask them if duolingo test is an option, but as it isn't listed in them list of options i think it isn't

I am resident, but English is not my native language & I graduated from non-English high school outside of the US. TESU asked me to take TOEFL. Both EC and COSC did not ask me to take any additional tests, even when I specifically asked about it.

I think this was because as US-Resident you are not considered international student. When you are non US-resident and you are non-english speakeing courntry resident, things are different.
As i research last year COSC don't ask for any english proficiency test for internatioanl undergraduated students, but they ask for it for graduated students. This was the main reason i chose them last year... this and the credits transfer "transparency"; but now EC is better option.

Currently i'm trying to made smart course selection in order to cover both, EC and COSC requests... i prefer COSC because of prices, but because of 30 credits new request, things became harder... I will probably enrolling with EC...
