Is United States History 2 a Humanites course at TESC? I know different colleges consider United States History a free elective or in another category.

It could of gone under general electives as well. Not sure if they'd let you use it as a humanities. If you call and talk to them, they may. Who knows.

It is strange that SL has that and other social science and history courses listed as humanities.
I know you are looking for more humanities credit. I think I have seen SL Business Communications mentioned on this forum as a humanities option for TESC students. Do you have that one already?
Edit to add: Sorry, I see that I have already suggested this to you in a previous thread. I'll add the link of confirmation again for anyone else who needs it -

Oh thanks again my fellow members! Uhhh you know what, I'm going to ask TESC if they can move Introduction to Criminal Justice to a humanites spot and I can replace it with History 2 . Introduction to CJ is placed under Social Sciences right now. Hmmm

No, CJ credits are different than many liberal arts credits. Sometimes they are social science and sometimes they are counted as free electives. This post by Cookderosa has a list of other types of humanities credits:

Normally, I would recommend CLEP A&I Lit, but I know you prefer SL and Penn Foster over credit-by-exam options.

Okay, I was going to check on you about this to make sure you understand your choices. With gen eds, each category (Humanities, Social Science, History, Math, Natural Science) is very specific; they are not interchangeable. In other words, humanities is humanities and you need to choose only from the subjects that are considered humanities. (SL is very misleading about what choices you have for TESC's humanities requirement.) We had talked about music and religion. What happened with those? They are both considered humanities, but there are other subjects (see Cookderosa's list) if you prefer something different.
Please let me know if I can help you more with this. Feel free to send a PM if you want also.

Now I see the cause of the confusion! You really do have Criminal Justice credits in your eval under Humanities. They are counting it because it is Ethics, which is considered Humanities. I don't see any other CJ credits that might be counted as Humanities, too, but another forum member might see something to ask about. Here is the TESC eval with lots of CJ credits at the bottom:

Sorry for the late reply Nap. Yes thanks! I saved all these links. You are correct about Straighterline having incorrect subject headers under the courses they offer. Hmm. I am going to keep looking. Clep will be my LAST LAST option, LOL! But I am going to try to look with the links you offered and elsewhere as well.
I will definitely keep you updated, thanks for the big help! :]
