Does it have to be English Comp 2? Is there another course that would fit this requirement for TESU?

I'm pretty sure it has to be English Comp II and not something like Technical Writing.

That’s what I thought. I had looked through the wiki, and hadn’t seen anything showing a substitution, but was hoping maybe someone knew of one.

from a quick glance, I didn't see these listed on the wiki. The DSST exam Principles of Advanced English Composition. If you are able to take that exam, it could work. Some non-college centers are closed, but many colleges still let people take Dsst on campus. That exam comes in as Eng comp 2.

one of the clep composition exams will work too, the one with essay.

Both of those exams are equivalent to eng 102 at tesu and not some other equivalent course at tesu that works in the Gen Ed category.
TESU: BALS June 2021 (comm college, clep, sdc sophia coopersmith, SOS110, and capstone)

Basically, If you need the 30 RA credit and also want a quick exam, the TECEP should do as well.
