The lab sciences at Study.com are recommended for UMPI. They don't have biochem. Portgage costs far more than Study. I don't see Portage on the UMPI transfer database. We know how the courses from Study transfer to UMPI.

ETA: I did find a few courses from Geneva College transferred to UMPI. Don't know if they are actual Geneva College courses or Portage courses though.

Someone transferred an English course in. If that was a Portage course it's totally overpriced. It's almost $600 for that course. Sophia, Study, and StraigherLine are FAR cheaper. Maybe if you need RA credit this is a good idea? Don't know if they're considered RA credits though.
Thank you.

Online Biochemistry Course | MCAT or Med School Prep | Arizona Online

WGU - Requirement for transfer reads 'One course, equivalent to 3 units, in Biochemistry. One course in biochemistry. This course must be taken within the past 5 years. Cannot be satisfied by degree.'

Study.com is recommended for lab sciences for schools that require a lab science that will accept ACE credit; they have several lab science courses, and it's $199/mo for 2 courses, plus an additional $70(?) for a virtual lab.  So a course comes out to be around $170 for 4cr.

Portage is a lot more expensive than Study, hence the reason you'd want to take it at SDC.

Portage courses are all RA credits, transcripted through Geneva College.  So they're a good option for many.

WGU recently changed the program (their evaluation was just received today 4/28/22)- Biochemistry is now a must for the RN to BSN.  It is the only course, other than statistics (which will likely be done through sophia), left that they can transfer in.  As you understand, they want to only what they must at WGU in hopes of a single term.

They just updated their evaluation again - WGU has dropped the Biochemistry and now it is 3 credits of Pathophysiology. I will ask about this under a new thread - thank you to all who responded to the Biochemistry inquiry.  It is getting hard to keep up with this RN to BSN at WGU plan.
