I just go into a new school (yay!) and they accept a few CLEPs that my previous college doesnt. Ive been studying for HG&D and was thinking of pairing it with Ed Psych to tske the same day. My question for those who have taken both exams is did you feel like these overlapped enough to group them together and test back-to-back? Or would you recommend taking a few days to study additional material between exams?
As much as Ive enjoyed studing for the soc/psych related exams, i am sooooo ready to be done with them and move on to the history grouping. Thanks in advance!

Sorry I can't answer your question, but I am going to bump your post because I am considering this as well. I took Into to psychology last week and going to take the human growth and development clep this coming week. I am thinking there is some overlap because I have been studying the flashcards for HG&D (but not the Educational Psychology flashcards yet) and was able to barely pass the practice test for Educational Psychology on the Free Clep Prep website without ever studying any material.
At any rate, I am going to take the HG&D exam first and see how well I do on it before deciding on whether or not to take the Educational Psychology exam.
Clep's Passed: Humanites 70, Sociology 60, Psy 74, HG&D 61, EP 64

I have taken both, but at different times. There is some overlap on the test although as I remember HG&D had the wider range including pre-school through old age and Ed Psy was more restricted to school age and how learning was affected by the psychological changes. I would think studying heavy on the core psychology, with less time on each specific exams focus, would make it very likely you could pass both in one day.

You are welcome that is what this forum is for. So us elder scholars can give you young newbies the benefit of our great knowledge

milelol:. Not!!
Really it is a great feeling to be able to pay forward all the help we got when we started here. Not many are still here from when I stated Cook (Jennifer) of course and Shoto, but other than them most have moved on. I even go days or weeks without checking in, but I was so lost when I started I could not have made it through without all of my IC friends. So now I try to help others.
