Educational Psych.....

The version I took today focused WAY MORE on the teaching concepts rather than the psychological aspect. More than I anticipated.....Does anyone know what the min score for TESC is for this test?

I'm pretty upset, discouraged, downtrodden, you pick it I'm feeling it.
I scored a FREAKIN 47!!!!!!!!!
So close right?.....

I would have rather bombed it than get that score.

Any suggestions on what to do next?

By the way the test was not so much Psychology as it was How to teach efficiently. I was very upset with the version of test I got.

I used the Peterson tests on the AF web library took all three until I was able to pass them all with around 70% correct. I have yet to figure out how to utilize IC productively. The concept has me baffled. So far its been a waste of 20 bucks, but I'm not bashing it, I just don't get it.

The test I took had questions about the IDEA Plan? whatever that is....
Lots of Mode Mean and Median questions which I should have known but hadn't brushed up on. SO.............

Anyway I failed it.....

Don't mean to be harsh...but IDEA is a hefty concept in Ed Psych. If u missed that one, u were not ready.

The flash cards are straight forward. I go thru first without answering any questions, just reading the questions and answers. Then, I go thru in random order and answer the questions. Rinse and repeat until test day (1 week tops)

You won't be able to take that test again for 6 months. However, in the meantime there is always Lifespan Developmental Psych and Organizational Behavior for upper level psy credits.

Next is right- don't even blink. It sucks to fail (I have failed too) but ya know what? It's over and done. Pick something else, study hard, and you WILL pass another! Keep your chin up.

IDEA is the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. I know that and lots about it because all 3 of my kids qualify. I just took Intro to Psy. and I have lots of practice from my 3 kids and volunteer work in school and church. Do you think I could pass this?

With a basic knowledge of the Intro Psych stuff....all you need to study are the teaching conepts of what makes a "good" or "expert" teacher. There are tons of situations that ask whats the best method of teaching. So focus on that and you'll do fine.
