Edit to Add: "Only students aged 17 and younger or aged 18-20 saw enrollment increases."

Money is getting tighter while the job market is still fairly steady besides tech jobs. I think many people are scared to take on more debt, job stability (not wanting to leave their current jobs) for schooling.

If unemployment starts going up higher, will the trend stay the same? History suggest that there would be more adult entering college during a period of unemployment but that would drop off once the unemployment rate drops dropping.

Nice article. Fewer adult students make sense because the job market is strong. Once we're at the tail end of the recession when the layoffs hit the job market, you'll see a surge of workers going back to get an/more education.
