Hello All,
I hope everyone is well and relatively happy. Life is too short to be unhappy.
I wanted to know if anyone had any advice for an easy associates degree at TESU? My wife is just about done with her Psych degree and I figured why not add an associates? (If the cost isn't too significant. After this term she has four classes she plans to complete at Study.com and the capstone at TESU and then she's done. Any advice or suggestions would be greaty appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Hey, Welcome to the board Olivia's Dad! So, has wifey completed the SOS-110 Critical Info Lit cornerstone course? Does she already have the 24 RA credits transferred in? It may be a good idea to copy/paste her evaluation or have a PDF of her degree plan (entire academic evaluation minus the personal details), so we can see what courses/credits she already has. Anyways, she may want to decide which Associates is for her, or if she would want to add a second associates or even another Bachelors.
To answer your question, the Associates of Arts is the one she would already have completed if she's almost done with the BA Psychology degree. She may however be more interested in some other associates that may be more useful, such as the Associates of Business Admin. Below are the Associates that do NOT require an associates capstone: Otherwise, you can add the Associates of Applied Sciences in this list if she wants to take an extra course at TESU (which is an option if she's taking up to 16 credits for residency wavier requirements).
ASBA (Business)
ASNSM (Biology/Math/Computer Science)
AA (General Studies)
AAS (Criminal Justice)

Your reply and time is appreciated. Thank You for the welcome as well!
She is currently completing SOS-110 this term and has more than 24 RA credits. I will post her evaluation when I get to our home computer and hopefully we can chat further. Talk Soon.

I personally don't advise getting the AA at TESU until you are very close to completing the BA, because you have to pay the $3200 Residency waiver for that AA; then, if you get your BA within a year, you can get the BA; BUT if you take more than a year to get it, you pay the $3200 RW again! Yikes.
So, needless to say, you should convince your wife to continue with her BA, and then maybe consider getting that AA when she's ready to take the capstone.

You can see different Associate degrees here:
https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Sa...gree_Plans
If you have 16 (or more) TESU credits, you don't have to worry about the residency waiver. If you have fewer than 16 TESU credits, it doesn't really make sense to graduate separately with an Associate and then do the Bachelor's degree, as dfrecore has said.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210
