Schools that transcribe test-out credit with an actual letter grade?

jsd Wrote:Not really. If you get a low score, just don't send it to the school to transcribe.

I just caught my typo Tongue

That's right, there is an option to exclude certain scores on your transcript right? I never saw the need in my case.
CLEPS Passed: 10 DSST Passed: 11 TECEPS: 1

Don't waste time by trying to save time. The only sure way to complete your degree is to knock out credits quickly and efficiently.

Don't let easiness bite you in the rear. Know your endgame (where you want to be) and plan backward from there. Your education is a means to an end.

Be honest professionally, socially and academically. There are people (especially little ones) who look up to you and they're going by your example.

Be proud. Whether you're an Engineer or Fast Food worker, there is honor and dignity in hard work.

Picking on people weaker than you only proves that you are a weak person.

If your goal is to enroll at a college that awards letter grades, and transfer that to the college you intend on graduating from (TESU), your grades will be lost in transfer. LASC will not calculate those in your GPA because they won't be part of your degree.

LSAC requires the transcript of all schools attended, not just the final school you graduated from. So assuming you took some classes at the CLEP-letter-grade school in order to be able to generate a transcript, then LSAC would include the CLEP scores you transferred to them even if you didn't graduate there. They're not just looking at TESU's transcript (which of course would only show CR). Any courses taken prior to conferrel of your BA are included in LSAC gpa, even if they're extraneous to your degree requirements. Students pump their LSAC gpa by taking junk community college classes not necessary for their degree fairly often. If you went to 5 schools, they're going to want 5 transcripts, regardless of where you finished (and leaving one out can result in big issues).

Unless you're saying that the original school that gives the letter grade shows only CR on their transcript if you don't graduate there, but converts them to a letter after you graduate... but that really doesn't make sense to me. I've never seen a school that has a different grading policy for transcripts depending on if your degree was conferred with them or not.
