At Degreeinfo the response would most likely "The course you know the most about". With this definitely being the lead response there are some other key factors that can make a course easier than others. An approach I took on selecting courses and had solid success with was:
Pick topics you are strong or have a real interest in learning. This always makes even a hard course enjoyable Click on the syllabus to identify how many exams are in a course. Some feel a course is easier with fewer exams to take. Add up the points needed to pass. Some feel a course is easier when they have more options to secure points prior to the final exam. Common responses to what are easier exams are Introduction to Nutrition, Medical Terminology & Introduction to Communication Common responses to what are harder exams are Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Organizational Behavior, Microbiology & Statistics. Good luck.

Do people typically prefer Straighterline or study.com?

Collegelady2 Wrote:Which one is cheaper? SL is if you do more than about 3 classes a month. Some of their classes are different prices. At Study.com, three classes is $269, and two classes is $199. SL is $99 plus many of the classes are $59 or $69.

Collegelady2 Wrote:Which one is cheaper? It totally depends on how many courses you take in a month there, and which courses. At Study.com, 2 courses is $199/mo, with each additional course being $70. So if you took 2 courses in a month, it would be $99.50/course. 3 courses per month would be $90/course. 4 courses in a month would be $85/course. At SL, assuming that you took $59 courses (some are more); 1 course in a month would be $158; 2 would be $109 each; 3 would be $92 each; and 4 would be $84 each.

Completely depends on the person: SL is dependent on the textbook with a lot of reading involved. Study.com uses videos. SL has fewer quizzes, Study.com has about a million of them (or so I've heard). SL allows you to get enough points on the quizzes/exams that you could fail the final and still pass the course if you got a 70% overall; Study.com has a final that is worth ⅔ of the grade in the course, so you have to get a certain % on the final to pass the course (although you can retake the exam after a 3-day waiting period) Study.com also has some UL courses which mean a paper/project is involved as well as the quizzes/final; SL doesn't have this option. I think all of 1 might drive me insane (I haven't used either of them). Some people use all 1 provider, some use a mixture. I've heard mostly good about both. EDIT I forgot to mention a couple more things about costs savings: SL usually has coupon codes floating around, lowering the price for most people. SL is a partner college with TESU, and will send transcripts directly to TESU, so no cost for an ACE transcript Study.com doesn't offer coupons much, but does have a scholarship you might get for 6 free courses; and they also get you awesome deals at TESU: a waiver on the cornerstone ($300 saved) a discount on the residency waiver fee ($1800 instead of $2500) a discount on the capstone course ($1098 instead of $1497 is what I'm seeing right now). I would suggest a mixture of both.
