Easiest Math Class for TESU BALS?
#1
Hi All,

I want to say what a fantastic resource this forum has been. I, and I know many others, so appreciate the time and careful consideration everyone puts into helping each other. It is truly great.

Here's my question: I'm rounding first base on my way to completing a BALS from TESU. I'm doing most of it thought CLEP/Straighterline/Free Credits. It's becoming sadly and abundantly clear to me that I'm going to need a Math class to fulfill my gen ed requirements. There is virtually no subject I don't enjoy - except math. Is there anyone out there who can provide suggestions for the easiest, most passable, most generously flexible math class out there that will fulfill the gen ed requirement? Special consideration goes to anything non-proctored (though I'm not sure that exists.

Thanks so much!

While not many people take classes at TESU, I took Mathematics for Liberal Arts through them and it was about as painless as possible. I would suggest giving it a look. It is also highly likely that a class LIKE THAT exists through your community college, which would be a lot cheaper - still I don't remember having any kind of proctored exam for that class, though it may have changed.

CLEP College Mathematics
Gives you: MAT-102, General Math I, MAT-103, General Math II 6

It was easy, I am not good at math and did not study for it

Study.com's MAT 97: Intro to Mathematical Reasoning should be easy.

I took the Applied Liberal Arts Math TECEP, and it was CRAZY easy.
