DHammond Wrote:Passed Humanities with IC only, with a 59. IC got me through it, but that was a pretty tough exam, simply because of the breadth of material, not the depth - good luck! I hope I can the same! I am really nervous. I cant retain any music knowledge or visual arts. THat's what I'll be cramming for the next two weeks until test day. I also need to 3 Liberal Arts credits but that is so broad too, wth should I take?!! Maybe literature related since I'm already studying humanities...backwards I know but I've already been studying for a month on Humanities

DHammond Wrote:Just about only IC Librevore - but I guess Micro and Finance are excluded - I referenced textbooks a couple of times for those two. OMG, I am so psyched about this now. I have about 47 credits left to complete my degree at EC and I really want to start taking the clep exams, I need: Macro Micro PreCalc - I hate math (I am terrible at it) Bus Statistics Information Literacy (joke 1 credit) Financial Acctg Managerial Accounting Bus Law Principles of Finance Principles of marketing Op Management Bus Strategy Basically all of the major requirements, do you think I should be able to clep/Dantes all of the above? Before end of the year? What is the study time for each, I have read some people study for 3 days and then take it. That would be ideal! Curious to hear your feedback since did so well on so many of them. I would appreciate any insight! Thanks,

Unfortunately not everything can be CLEP'd for EC.
Macro - can CLEP Micro - can CLEP PreCalc - I hate math (I am terrible at it) - can CLEP, but consider possible choices of Straighterline or ALEKS Bus Statistics - Can clep/dsst but consider Straighterline or ALEKS Information Literacy (joke 1 credit) - Easy to take at EC (I Did) but can also take at Penn Foster (need to take minimum of 3 credits from PF to sign as independent) Financial Acctg - Can CLEP - but consider Straighterline Managerial Accounting - No Longer able to CLEP - Consider Straighterline Bus Law - Can Clep Principles of Finance - Can DSST - Difficult test, consider Penn Foster FIN101 Financial Management Principles of marketing - Easy CLEP Op Management - No CLEP/DSST Equivalent - Consider TECEP or the ever popular CSU-Pueblo OpMan course (i'm taking it so far) Bus Strategy - No Clep/Test available - must take through EC We're on the same path, so let me know if you have any questions left. All I have left is my Ethics requirement, OpMan (currently taking at CSU-P) and the EC Capstone BUS 495.

ahhh, So I guess that is the preferred method for everyone here? I don't want to sound like I'm advertising so I won't name names, but there are a couple other similarly priced programs I saw online, and a few specific test books I saw amazon selling, Are those worth considering or if you use this site a lot does it seem like IC is the best way to go? I have about $100 in books in my amazon cart, but that would pay for the whole IC thing. I only need 3 CLEPS, so where is my money better spent?.
