Easiest 2nd bachelors

I'm doing 2 bachelors because of a relatively unique situation. I had 2.5 years completed at a B&M engineering school, with upper-level credits, but I am now squarely in the business/operations field. I determined that I could get a BSAST on my way to a BSBA with very little additional effort (the BSAST capstone). In my situation, I feel 2 bachelors is the right choice.

However, I agree with the others that in most cases, a 2nd bachelors is not needed/"a waste".

Still not sure I would bother....but you've at least reasoned it out and it probably does make sense for you.

Why not the MBA immediately after bagging the BSAST? For example, it's only 11 courses to an MBA at WGU without any prereqs. If you need far less than 11 courses at TESU to get the BSBA, I can see it make sense to lock in that BSBA just in case "life happens" sooner rather than later. In addition, some of the courses or exams that work for the TESU BSBA are very easy, cheap, and quick.

You ask the question and then answer it at the end. Cost is the reason I'm doing a BSBA instead of an MBA. Once I complete the BSAST, I will only have the business core classes for the BSBA, and one AOS course. I expect to spend about $4k to get my BSAST, and then another $1200 to get the BSBA (residency waiver included).

I would guess that it would be something you're good at - any degree is going to require 24cr of new courses, including the capstone. So I would pick something that I'm interested in and want to study.

Athabasca University out of Alberta, Canada has a second bachelors program that requires 48 credits "not applied" to the first bachelors. They do have some upper level credit requirements but they have no residency requirement! By the way they also offer a 3 year bachelors program in General Studies.

Athabasca is a great university, sadly, they don't have an "alternative credit" option. Any ACE/CLEP or DSST credits are not counted towards credit transfer.
However, if you did your undergrad studies at the community colleges, they all can be transferred into the program! That would be a great option....

COSC will let you graduate with a second degree concurrently. No need for the additional 24 credits.

I am working on my 2nd Bachelor's through TESU (reverse of you, I'm now earning my BSBA). My first degree was BA in Social Sciences (now offered as BALS with Soc Sci concentration). It is very test-out friendly. The Social Science concentration is the *easiest* option you mention simply because all of the courses you need are available at Straighterline and Study.com. You will have to do the Capstone at TESU regardless of the degree. All of your Gen Ed credits won't need to be re-done.
With that being said, the Psychology degree sounds like a better fit for your career plans! The reality is that there are only 3 additional courses that you will have to find sources for the credits that aren't currently available through CLEP, DSST, SL, Study.com (rumored to be working on ACE credit for 2 of the classes) etc.: History & Systems, Physiological Psy, and Ethics in Soc Sci. There are 39 AOS credits required: shouldn't be too difficult to come up with new or add'l credits to fill 'em up. It's free to re-apply if you are a graduate. Won't hurt to apply and then negotiate any issues you have as they come up.

Those first two are both available via Coopersmith Career Consulting. I haven't found any test out options for Ethics in Soc Sci, try to find it at a local CC or something. If you have to take it at TESU like I did, it's incredibly easy and pointless. But expensive.
