If you do it, follow up. There was a person here who did this with us and it never did go through. SL just said it never showed up, even though the other party and I made an effort twice to do it correctly.

For what it's worth, I did get an iTunes card a while back on a referral promotion. I know that SL has had some customer service issues since Andrew Hoon left, but hopefully they've gotten them resolved. I haven't taken a class in a while, so can't say for sure.

If Andrew Hoon has left, how come I keep getting emails from him as course advisor?

Is Andrew back??? That would be such good news.
I know for a fact he left a while ago because when I was studying, I got an email from him saying that he was leaving... then I had a different advisor (I think Vanessa somebody) and then she was gone pretty quickly after she was assigned to me.
I have no clue at this point. DH and DS are both taking SL classes right now, but DS has taken a couple of summer months off and I haven't heard anything about customer service issues from DH..

I have two recent emails addressed from Andrew Hoon that are for new course information dated 7/25 and 8/15. I did send a question regarding two questions that I believe were correct but marked wrong and did not get a response. In another course, I found two more mistakes and got a quick reply from that advisor.

Hmmmm... well I looked through my archived emails and the one from Andrew announcing his departure was dated 3/7/11, so perhaps he left and quickly returned.
I would guess that SL is probably growing pretty quickly and my suspicion is that if they're growing fast, they may constantly be understaffed, which would explain customer service issues. Of course there aren't excuses for problems like this, however I hope they continue to grow and we see more cheap, self-paced class options.
