On the ENEB website, it has image official diploma from Università degli Studi Guglielmo Marconi (Unimarconi), and that they will process the actual diploma. It should have both diploma and transcript. Have you reached out to ENEB or Unimarconi to confirm? Did they tell you that they will only issue a transcript, or are they supposed to send both the diploma and the transcript?@PearsonOTHMQualifi7654
I think there's been a misunderstanding. I didn't
only receive a transcript. I purchased the complete UniMarconi documentation package recently for $640, which included the official diploma, official transcript, certified translation, and apostille. There was a less expensive option to receive the Diploma only, for $290 (No transcript).
When I said there doesn't seem to be a "diploma supplement", I was referring to a European Diploma Supplement which @
peter-newman asked for - which is another way to describe a document, to me looks just like a "Transcript". He asked for Transcript examples, and also Diploma Supplement examples. For example, I have a Degree from the UK with a "European Diploma Supplement", which is really a transcript that shows the modules, grades, and credits earned. I don't have a "transcript" for that program, but I have a Diploma and a Diploma Supplement. Some institutions call this document a Transcript, others call it a Diploma Supplement, and some in Spain call it an Academic Certificate.
I was explaining to @
peter-newman that if his German university requires a description of the modules with ECTS and official documentation by the issuing university that lists the number of CFUs/ECTS, then because the official Unimarconi transcripts name ENEB as the teaching institution, with Unimarconi stating it explicitly recognizes the credits from the teaching institution, and Unimarconi assigns ECTS for each module, this is pretty cohesive, given that there is an accompanying ENEB syllabus that explictly names Unimarconi as the university awarding the degree. I was simply suggesting that these would be quite explanatory and helpful. I didn't mean to imply that there's only a transcript and a syllabus.
Hopefully that clears up the confusion.

I can understand why it might look that way from the outside, but that wasn't my experience at all.
Yes, the documentation package was expensive. However, part of that cost was for the official diploma package, transcript, certified translation, and apostille. Without selecting the full package, a transcript would not have been issued.
More importantly, this was
not simply a reprint of work I had already completed.
Although I had previously completed ENEB programs, only
6 of the 9 modules in my chosen Unimarconi Master matched prior coursework.
The remaining
3 modules were completely new.
In addition, I completed:
- nine new module papers (I voluntarily declined all six available exemptions and redid every module from scratch so they show individual grades and not just "pass or transfer/convalidated, because my prior ENEB programs were completed via Final Exams)
- a Master's Final Project of approximately 40 pages, and
- a 135-question comprehensive final examination.
Overall, I completed substantially more work for this program than I ever did in my previous ENEB studies.
Beyond the academic workload, the qualification itself occupies a different place academically. A
Master Universitario di Primo Livello is an officially recognized Italian university qualification authorized by the Italian Ministry of Universities and Research and aligned with
EQF Level 7. That is a different type of credential from a Spanish
título propio, regardless of whether some coursework overlaps.
None of this diminishes titulo propios. I have completed several of them myself, am doing more of them, and value them. They are excellent programs for professional development.
At the same time, I don't think it's accurate to suggest that an officially recognized Italian university master's is merely "the same papers with a new cover."
And for students entering the ENEB to Unimarconi pathway directly, without previous ENEB studies, every module is new from the beginning, and the Master's Final Project and a 135 question final exam are additional components that the corresponding propio versions from ENEB/Ui1 do not have. The additional requirements are consistent with the expectations of an official Italian Master Universitario di Primo Livello, which is recognized by the Italian Ministry of Universities and Research (MUR).
