I was hoping just for a basic evaluation for employment purposes, not to transfer credits or continue education using ENEB. I wanted a post-baccalaureate certificate of some kind for business analytics. My workplace allows a certificate/diploma/degree to be recognized if one of the 5 agencies I mentioned consider it a credential of any kind in Canada and it is purely a box-checking exercise for a promotion.

I wish u all the best. Hope u wilk find agency which will do it
Eneb may have some value- but it is unaccredited in Canada and the USA. Even in Spain, it is narrowly useful. Use eneb to do pd in other interest to have a second master but not your primary master degree.

However, the certification or validation by Universidad Isabel I makes their degrees equivalent to a regionally accredited degree but not a Masters degree because of the Propio status. What a person with this degree should be aware of is that when evaluated by a foreign credential evaluator, many do not accept validation degrees or propio degrees. However, ones that do would evaluate their programs as an accredited top-up program, graduate certificate, or just recognize the credit hours for transfer.Ultimately, how this degree is accepted is up to the employer or university you attend, not the foreign credential evaluator. Atleast this is how it goes in the USA.

"How this degree is accepted is up to the employer or university you attend, not the foreign credential evaluator" --- not really.
If its used for immigration purposes, the evaluation plays major role in someone's ability to get the work/ study visa. So if the evaluation doesnt satisfy the requirements of the immigration visa, Your University or employer can accept your degree in any way they want. However, you will not get the job/ study opportunity since you can't get visa.. I don’t understand why we are twisting ourselves into pretzels to exaggerate the value of eneb. But for $300, no harm to the individual to do it. I learned a lot. My advice is not to get it evaluated, as you may now have the accredited degree on your evaluation which could be negative.(05-14-2022, 07:28 AM)Dumber Wrote: Eneb may have some value- but it is unaccredited in Canada and the USA. The bending over backwards that some people do on this forum do to justify a cheap ENEB mooc as anything more than it is is just bizarre.

Universidad Isabel I certification doesn't make ENEB accredited. ENEB alone is a non-accredited university. What makes them be viewed as accredited is based on the foreign credential evaluations when the Universidad Isabel I credential is evaluated, not ENEB. Getting an evaluation could return a negative result depending on your goals. If you are not trying to top up the degree or use it for transfer credit, no evaluation is needed. However, if you are using it for academic purposes, evaluating it as belonging to Universidad Isabel I could be beneficial.
Also, for immigration purposes, the foreign credential evaluation does determine rather or not someone can come here from overseas to obtain jobs, however this is a non-issue for the vast majority of us. Getting a foreign credential evaluation is not necessary for most of those pursuing it for professional and personal development instead of academic. The fact that we have LinkedIn and other networks that show ENEB graduates will allow most employers to let the degree stand on its on merits without an evaluator despite accreditation status. The problem is not so much exaggerating the value of ENEB, but determining its status from one country to another. That's what most of us are having a hard time agreeing on because US and Canada do not use one school to certify or validate another school. However, for all intents and purposes as a non-accredited program and institution, depending on how you define accreditation, ENEB is still a legitimate school and not a diploma mill.

No one is bending over backwards to do anything but provide information on their experiences with ENEB or atleast what they researched and found out about its recognition. It must be worth more than a cheap MOOC if evaluators have granted actual transferable credit and/or degree recognition for it. On the one hand, it can be considered a ticking timebomb for some using it as a terminal degree. On the other hand, some people have used these degrees to find jobs and even qualify to enter nationally accredited doctoral programs. It's a do at your on risk degree but it is definitely worth more than an MOOC so don't be so quick to judge its value or anyone else's experience one way or the other. |
