Hello all and Happy New Year!
I was wondering if anyone could share their opinions on which two ECE tests would be easier as far as taking and studying for - Gerontology or Research Psychology?
I wanted to start the New Year on a positive (and confidence-building) note and also needed to start my long, 2007 "test" journey as well.
Thanks in advance everyone!

Make sure you do a search of the forum and read all of the feedback on those two tests. One member recently reported taking the Research Methods test and felt that our materials were very good for them.
As for Gerontology, study both Gerontology and Adulthood and Aging, and you should do fine for that test.
Good luck!

Hi Mail Dog,
Happy New Year to you!
I have taken only Gerontology and am going to take Research methods after a couple of weeks.I found Gerontology to be interesting and not very difficult.I studied only for 3-4 days and used mostly only instantcert and scored B.I think with a little more hardwork an A would have been possible.
Have you taken or plan to take Psychology of Adulthood and Aging? This one and Gerontology have a lot of overlap so taking Gerontology would be a better option if u want to take PAA also later on.
I don't know about Research.I am sure there are others who have taken both and will be able to come up with better advice.
Also please check your inbox.I pm'ed you yesterday.
Good Luck,
Adoncia

Steve & Adoncia,
I'd say it's a toss-up between the two tests, but I'm leaning more on Gerontology since the IC material gives me a better "1st impression" and better vibes versus Research/Psychology. It's weird since most folks seem to have taken Gerontology before the IC course came out, but those who took the test using IC, seem pretty satisfied and did well. I appreciate all the advice - I always take the board's advice and recommendations seriously.
