Yes, but it duplicates College Algebra.
For Excelsior, you can take ALEKS
-Beginning Algebra;
-College Algebra, College Algebra with Trigonometry, Intermediate Algebra or Pre-Calculus (these four duplicate each other);
-Trigonometry;
-Intro to Statistics
for 12 hours total in that order, because Excelsior is picky about sequencing.
BA, MA, EdS, MMT, etc.

You can always take the ALEKS courses in order, starting with Beginning Algebra (it's ACE-approved, and COSC will take it although EC and TESU won't). Then take the rest, including all of the Stats courses.
You can get all 9 courses put on your ACE transcript, and then you will have all those credits - and then you have more options if you decide partway through to change schools.

I'm helping a buddy of mine. He's math weak but passed Beginning Algebra and Intermediary Alg, and was wondering if he's good to avoid math for the rest of his life.
so it seems COSC and EC accept Beg Alg?

COSC and EC both accept Beginning and Intermediate Algebra, however...
Excelsior is the only one that accepts them to fulfill the math requirement for Liberal Arts degrees.
Charter Oak would accept them for both for Liberal Arts electives, but would still require a higher math that satisfies the quantitative requirement.
(And of course, TESU accepts Intermediate Algebra for Liberal Arts majors and general ed electives, but requires College Algebra and Stats for the BSBA.
