Has anyone taken the Nursing Concepts EC test yet? I am aware of EC's changes and it is now called "health safety". However, I was curious if anyone has taken it and could share if there are any discrepancies or if it is basically the same. Plus, is the test comparable to this practice test? Thanks!!

You may get a better response (or at least more of them!) by posting this question to a nursing website - try the distance learning forum on allnurses.com:

I have completed the whole program, waiting on my graduation date...the practice test are a good example of what to expect....if you know the outline you will do fine....Beware....not everyone will speak highly or positve about excelsior nursing program...if your state allows license and you feel you can do it..then do it and ignore others comments

I completed all of their old nursing exams except NC #5. The practice exams are a good indicator. I recommend using at least one of the main texts recommended to study. I don't believe think the guided learning packages were very helpful. Just follow the outline and use the recommended main book and use any supplements it has such as workbooks, websites, CD-ROM's etc. Take the practice tests to guage your readiness for the exam and find target areas to do more studying. Good luck!

I took this course in 2007 without any difficulty by studying the outline from Excelsior and taking the practice test. If you use these, you should be fine.
Texas has agreed to accept Excelsior graduates until the year 2012, but, Excelsior has to come up with ways for more clinicals, etc. Glad I finished when I did!
